Terms of Service
The rules for using Inwoven. Last updated: 31 October 2026
Who we are
Inwoven is run by Pavel Riaby and Roman Doroshenko through Starling&Cuttlefish S.L., CIF B22960405, Carrer de Sant Joan de Malta, 47, 1º 1ª, 08018 Barcelona, Spain. The company is the party to these terms. Write to hello@backlog.works with questions about these terms. They apply when you use backlog.works. The Privacy page says what we keep about you.
Your account
You sign in with a code we send to your email, so anyone who can read your inbox can sign in as you. You answer for what happens in your account, including what the agents you point at it write. Each person you add is responsible for their own account.
Owners
Each product has one owner. The owner decides who has access, and can remove people, links and backups, transfer the product or delete it for everyone. If you write in someone else's product, the owner can delete what you wrote. You can download your text as Markdown.
Your content
You keep your rights in what you write. You give us a licence only to host it, show it, sync it to your GitHub repository, back it up and run the features you ask for.
We keep our rights in the software, the site and the brand. The Inwoven skill for agents is a separate project under the MIT licence.
GitHub
Connecting a repository lets Inwoven read its backlog files and commit each change you save. Connect only a repository you may change. You can remove Inwoven's access on GitHub.
Sharing
Anyone with the address of a share link or an embed code can read it until you revoke it. You can replace a read-only link in Settings.
Plans and payment
Inwoven has a Free and a Pro plan. The home page lists what each includes. A Free limit refuses a new action or hides a view. It never deletes your products, documents or people. Free keeps only the latest backup copy of each document.
Pro costs $10 a person a month, or $99 a person a year, plus the tax of your country. Pro renews each month or year until you cancel. We announce price changes ahead.
Starling&Cuttlefish S.L. is the seller. We provide Inwoven, these terms are your agreement with us, and we answer for the product. Sold through Link, LLC, a Stripe company, is the merchant of record and not the seller. It processes the sale and handles indirect taxes such as VAT and sales tax, payment disputes and support for the payment. It sends your receipt.
You cancel, change the number of seats and ask for a refund through your Link account or the link in the receipt email. Link explains how refunds work.
Acceptable use
Do not use Inwoven to:
- store or share content that is unlawful, deceptive or infringing, or data you have no right to
- spread malware, spam or phishing, or impersonate anyone
- probe, bypass or disrupt security, limits or plans
- break the rules of GitHub or another provider you connect
If content breaks these terms or the law, we may remove it or turn off the share link or embed code that shows it.
Ending and availability
You can stop using Inwoven. Owners delete a product in its Settings, then Danger. To delete your account, write to hello@backlog.works.
We may suspend or end your access for a material breach, abuse, a security risk or a legal duty. We then keep or delete your data as the Privacy page says.
Inwoven is pre-alpha and we make no uptime promise. Features may change or end. Where we can, we give notice and a Markdown download first. The files of a GitHub product stay in your repository.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we provide Inwoven as it is.
If we are liable to you, our total liability is at most what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if that is more.
The cap does not apply where the law forbids it, such as fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury, mandatory consumer rights and data-protection duties.
Governing law
Spanish law applies unless mandatory law overrides it. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of your own country. Before any court action, write to hello@backlog.works so we can settle it in good faith. No exclusive court or arbitration venue applies.
Changes to these terms
We announce material changes on the home page or by email. If the law requires you to agree to a new term separately, using Inwoven is not that agreement.
